Handmade Tiles

Around eight months prior I got a text from our old buddies saying they had quite recently purchased an old home in the noteworthy 12 South area here in Kerala, and that it required another kitchen and main restroom. I got along with both of them and understood our course of events was quite certain in light of the fact that the introduction of their subsequent child was rapidly drawing closer! It was clear after a couple of gatherings that they needed the spaces to feel youthful and present day, however immortal and proper for the home’s age. Their taste inclines mid-century, so we utilized components of that style while keeping the materials as normal as could really be expected.

Concepts

The expert shower was exceptionally cut off, with a walled shower and material storeroom inside a tiny impression. I knew promptly I needed to get both of those out! The customers were so open to thoughts, which made the entire interaction very fun.

After showing them a few concepts for the bathroom, I found this amazing tile and knew it was perfect. Along with the custom cabinetry and slat wall divider, the tile adds a handmade texture that I love. They told me it feels like a spa, and that the whole family ends up in there including their new sweet baby girl.

Where are the tiles made?

The tiles are made on our on location earthenware production studio here at Cotes Mill. One of the old sheds was revamped last year and is currently outfitted with two furnaces, work seats and a variety of various dirts and coatings.
